With a focus on academics and citizenship, children receive a solid foundation as they begin their school days here at Pioneer School in Weiser, Idaho.

Situated on 6.3 acres on the west end of town, Pioneer School is a beautifully maintained campus inside and out. The grounds are split into two complete playgrounds to accommodate pre-kindergarten through third grade children. The inside facility contains separate wings for each grade level, including the recent addition of office space and 10 classrooms. Hardwood floors grace the hallways, while navy and maroon carpet set a soothing tone in each classroom.

High expectations are welcome by students and parents due to a positive school environment and a staff willing to do anything for children. Through the Success For All reading program, students are instructed at their level for 90 minutes each day. With Saxon Math, students receive 45-60 minutes of math instruction daily. Students also benefit from "Extended School Day" opportunities and interventions. Bilingual tutors are on staff to assist students with limited English skills. combined, these programs and extended opportunities have propelled some grades at Pioneer to be the highest performing grades among grades in similar Idaho schools on different state assessments the last two years. Children and Staff are recognized regularly for the achievements and efforts.

Pioneer School has an active Parent Organization, dedicated to enriching the education of the children. Parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged, and are always able to stay involved in their children's school activities. An amazing staff, students, parents, and community all combine to create a truly special place for children at Pioneer School. As we say, "Success begins at Pioneer!"
